During the depths of the Great Depression, particularly from 1931 to 1933, many banks, merchants and local governmental agencies issued their own scrip because of the shortage of circulating national currency. Florida was no different than other states in this regard, and many issues were made here. Circulation of this scrip was local and limited, and most was redeemed, leaving very little available to collectors. We are pleased to offer the following notes at this time: Date City Issuer Denom. Grade Price Notes Sorry, none available at this time. |
